He specialized in Cambridge - England on issues of public health and primary prevention of malignant neoplasms and Health Management at the University of National and World Economy. He has significant experience in experimental medicine and biology and has contributed to the implementation of research associated with cancer at home and abroad. He also participated with Dr. Tabakova in organizing the first compartment in vitro fertilization treatment in Bulgaria. He is responsible for the overall activities of the Centre. Prof. Dr. Ivan Nikolov is a Master and Doctor of Medicine. He has experience in experimental work in molecular oncology in Bulgarian Cancer Institute, where he was a superintendent and a head of the Scientific Research Laboratory dealing with one of the most serious problems in modern medicine today, namely cancer. In his career life Prof. Nikolov has numerous specializations abroad, including in Cambridge. In the course of his work he is a titular author and co-author of a number of prestigious journals with high impact factor, as his writings have been cited in numerous research and astronomical publications. Professor Nikolov is the basis for the construction of one of the first DNA banks in Eastern Europe. Prof. Dr. Ivan Nikolov has trained many executives as they passed many theoretical knowledge and practical skills that have contributed to the solutions of many biomedical problems. Under his leadership one of the most powerful laboratories of Oncology in Eastern Europe was built and furnished where doctors and biologists have specialized.
Prof. Dr. Ivan Nikolov-founder and administrative director of a medical center "ReproBioMed." Under his supervision, the medical center is an extremely effective structure that incorporates a number of departments and laboratories working in sync. The medical center has participated in numerous scientific research projects and has always been a reliable partner in the provision of further training for other staff.
Valentin Penchev - project coordinator, a Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and a Master's degree in genetic and cellular engineering. He completed a two year training course in Clinical Embryology in the Medical Center "ReproBioMed." Valenitn Penchev worked in the Department of Biochemistry at the University "St. Kliment Ohridski "in the sector of model membranes, where he studied the physicochemical parameters of the interaction of NPs with cell membrane. From his work in the laboratory of model membranes, Valentin Penchev has taken part a lot of times in different congresses in Bulgaria and Europe. An example of his works is a publication in a journal with an impact factor. He wrote his thesis for acquiring his Master’s degree in the Center of Molecular Medicine, Medical University of Sofia, where he has worked extensively in the field of molecular pathology and trained a number of modern techniques in the field of human molecular genetics. As a result of his work at the Center for Molecular Medicine and Medical Center "ReproBioMed" Valenitn Penchev was involved in several projects in close cooperation with the Institute of Biology and Immunology, Institute of Molecular Biology, Aleksandrovska Hospital and other research and clinical units. He has also participated in Bulgarian and international congresses and has given oral presentations. Valentin Penchev was involved in the organization and holding of seminars related to assisted reproduction and molecular diagnostics. He was a major figure in the development and implementation of a laboratory for molecular diagnosis of infectious agents in the medical center "ReproBioMed" in which were already trained two Romanian specialists and it is also expected that the laboratory will work with more partners from other clinics and institutes. Since 2009 Valentin Penchev has become a member of the Bulgarian Association of Sterility and Reproductive Health (BASRH). The main task of the project will be not only to build and develop interactions with organizations from the target group, but also to attract new participants and to ensure wide publicity of the project.

History
Office of Technology Transfer, which medical center "ReproBioMed" aims to create organizational forms and mechanisms for the transfer of practical knowledge, methods and technologies to medical practice in the field of modern molecular genetics and diagnostics. Modern medical genetics, using the most advanced technologies in molecular biology, is a powerful diagnostic tool in the field of biomedical sciences, including gynecology, reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction. Diagnosis of hereditary diseases and predispositions is crucial for couples who intend to have offspring. There are also many couples who face a reproductive failure due to a genetic defect and unfortunately sometimes there is no technology that can identify the essence of the problem. Testing should be performed in pre (embryo in vitro culture obtained by assisted reproduction cycle) prenatal (developing fetus) and postnatal level (adult) in order the diagnostic range to be complete and accurate.
Services
The latest techniques in human molecular genetics have to be applied in order the genetic testing to be carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible. In order to implement modern molecular diagnostic techniques such as genetic markers in genotyping, comparative genomic analysis and sequencing new generation must be applied; technology transfer should be done through which to train new, promising and highly qualified staff and also this kind of diagnostic methods to be more accessible to doctors / staff and their patients. The functioning of the office of technology transfer will adhere to strict algorithms of work and study which are subject to all European Directives concerning education, research and medical activities. Technology transfer offices will be provided with full equipment for efficient and modern delivery of training through seminars and workshops. The target group which consists of specialists from other clinics, hospitals and institutes will be provided with technology transfer through training in relevant methods. These include mainly specialists in medical genetics, molecular biology, clinical embryology and many other specialists from various fields of biomedical science. Another goal is to build strong collaborations with other specialists in order the technology transfer processes to be implemented. These processes involve various scientific research and medical diagnostic studies. This type of technology transfer will undoubtedly increase the competitiveness and productivity of health services and research in Bulgaria and Europe. Bulgarian clinics and institutes that enter the target group of the office for transfer are the Technological Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Molecular Biology Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Center of Molecular Medicine at the Medical University of Sofia, the National Genetic Laboratory, the Faculty of Biology, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ", the Joint Genome Center, the IVF AG Center" Dimitrov "Unit assisted reproduction Hospital" Burgas ", the Institute of Genetics, BAS and other medical centers. Foreign institutes and clinics that are a part of the target group of technology transfer offices are the Fertility Genesis Center, Romania Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology, "Prof. Dr. Panait Sarbu "section in vitro fertilization, Romania; Sinisa Stankovic, the Institute for Biological Research, Serbia and others. The expected results will be expressed in the transfer of applied science and technology expertise in advanced areas of modern genetic diagnosis. Developments in biomedical science should be deployed / transferred and to become more accessible for the needs of the fundamental biology and practical clinical work. Thus, it is expected the enhancement of the competitiveness in an educational, enlightening and diagnostic activity of Bulgarian science on the map of Europe. By establishing and developing such technology transfer offices, Bulgaria will be a supportive partner for investment projects in key sectors such as science research and training activity and health.
